Easter Celebrations

We will be be taking part in an Easter obstacle course, keeping us active and healthy.

We will be creating Easter art.

Our Easter party will be Wednesday (31st March) and children can wear party clothes. We will have a party with fun snack, music and dancing.

Learning

The children have been enjoying their outdoor learning. They have been developing gross motor skills, getting active playing games. They have also been building positive relationships, respecting one another, sharing, turn taking and working co-operatively with one another.

Easter

The children have been taking part in Easter crafts, creating beautiful, colourful art for our window display. This coming week we will be taking part in different Easter activities working with the whole school.

We are holding an Easter raffle to raise money for our toy fund. This money will help us continue to provide a wide variety of learning experiences with supporting and engaging resources for children to use.

We have lots of lovely prizes to be won including a mystery Easter bag full of exciting things to keep busy over Easter, an afternoon tea box for two, a cuddly bunny with chocolate and more.

Good Morning

This week we will be doing lots of fun things to help us learn, here are some of the things we will be doing this week-

This week we are sticking with Hairy Maclary and the gang. The children enjoyed the rhyme and the funny names of the characters.

• Emotions

Children have been really responsive to our new emotional check in sheets and they are quickly becoming part of our morning routine. The children are beginning to recognise their emotions and the why they are feeling the way they do- linking it to events and other behaviour.

• Colour and Shape

We will also be looking at shape and colour this month. As we enter Spring there are lots of new colours and shapes are the plants begin to grow and the weather changes.

• Transitions

This will continue to be a priority and we will be discussion transition to Primary 1 with the children.
