Who is the fastest in your house? Mark out a race course outdoors in your garden or in a local outdoor area. You need a start and an end point. Who is the fastest? How long does it take you to run? How could you get faster?

What might help? What you eat? What your wear?

Have you ever seen the film ‘Inside Out’. It’s all about a little girl Riley and the emotions that she has inside her head that help her describe and manage how she’s feeling.

Tonight before you go to bed, have a think about how you are feeling? Why do you feel that way?

Can you think of something that made you happy today? Was there anything that made you sad or angry? Talk to ab adult at home about it.

This week we will be focussing on Health, as part of this, we will be setting you daily active challenges, like we would have done for sports day but we will spread it over Monday to Thursday.  On Friday there will be no challenges as this is out special Graduation day for our preschoolers.

As well as active challenges we will be asking you to take part in activities to help make healthy choices and look at our mental wellness.

Your first challenge is to get those muscles moving, your brain thinking and that heart rate pumping.

We would like you to design an obstacle course that involves going over things and going under things. Once you have laid out your course have a go, get your family involved as well.

Below I have added some examples to give you ideas.

Have lots of fun and send in lots of photos so we can see your obstacle courses.

Just a little reminder to our preschool boys and girls, graduation photo to be sent to the nursery email address by Monday (15th June) . Hoping to create something special with them, so it would be great to have as many as possible.

Mrs McDougall had a go at creating her own hat, looks fab!

We hope you are all well. It was lovely to see some of you last week during our deliveries. We are still enjoying seeing all of your lovely smiling faces in you home learning photos, so please keep sending them.

Graduation preparations have started for our nursery team and we are very excited.

Our Graduation day for our preschoolers will be on Friday 19th June.

Over the coming weeks there will be information given and we hope that everyone will join in.

There will be special deliveries today and tomorrow for our preschoolers who are Graduating, so look out for some special visitors. This of course will be at a social distance but give a wave and we hope to see you soon.

It’s great to see so many of our children making the most of this weather and taking their learning outdoors. They have been having so much fun ☺

Over the next two weeks there will be messages from the senior leadership team all about the 4 capacities. We know how hard you have worked this year and want to celebrate this under the 4 capacities; successful learners, effective contributors, responsible citizens and confident individuals.
