Home Learning Day 19- 04.02.2021 with Miss McMenemy

Literacy

Syllables. Today we will be thinking about syllables and finding out more.  A syllable is a part of a word that contains sounds (phonemes) of a word. It usually has a vowel in it.

We will be thinking of syllables as a beat and clapping them out in words. Click on the link below to find out more.

Numeracy

We have been working on counting over the past few weeks, so today I thought I would test your knowledge of numbers to ten. Counting backwards and forwards. Use the link below to access the caterpillar ordering and sequencing game.

Ordering and sequencing numbers to 10.

Health and Wellbeing

What makes you happy?

Think of a time when you were really, really happy… have you thought about it? Can you draw a picture of it?

Hang it somewhere you will see it everyday, and when you feel sad or are having a tough day, look at your drawing to remind you of a time when you felt happy.

Send a photo of your drawing or create a little video talking about your drawing
