Unclaimed jumpers

Hi grown ups,

There are 3 unclaimed jumpers in the class without names. I don’t want to put them down to lost property – but none of the boys and girls seem to recognise the jumpers as theirs.

  • an F&F Burnside round necked sweatshirt aged 7-8
  •  an F&F v neck aged 6-7
  • a Sainsbury’s  v neck plain blue age 7

Let me know if it sounds like your child’s jumper and I’ll return it to you.

Homework 14.09.20

Hi Room 6,

Again, this week please read your reading book every day until you are completely fluent and understand the content fully.

Tomorrow in your bags there will be a letter about Google Classroom and how to access it. We will go live next Monday and you will access your homework from there in future.

Homework 31/08/20

Hi Room 6,

This week in your schoolbag you have your reading book. Please practise this book every evening with an adult until you are very fluent in reading it and have a good understanding of the content of the book. Make sure it’s in your bag every day and I will collect them on Friday.

As a school we are making a move towards “google classroom” and I am in the process of setting it up. More information on this to follow, and until it is up and running the class  will continue to use this blog.

Have a great week!

Water bottles & hand sanitiser

The boys and girls are not permitted to use the water fountains in school at present for hygiene reasons and many of them are running out of water. It would be really helpful if the children could bring an extra bottle of water with them, or a carton to drink at playtime if they think they will need it during the day.

We have established a frequent hand washing routine in class and as well as this there is sanitiser available in the classroom. Children may also sanitise their hands with their own sanitiser at any time, its absolutely fine to pop one into their schoolbag or pocket if you want to.

Welcome to Room 6 Primary 3

Hello Room 6,

Welcome to your new class blog. This is where you will find your homework for each week, including spelling words. Please check it on a Monday after school each week.

It was so lovely to meet you all the other day, I hope you all really enjoyed your first day back. I think we are going to have a fantastic and productive year together.

As time goes on, I will be adding tabs at the top of the page for each spelling, reading and maths group. I will put a sticker on each child’s homework jotter with their grouping.

Homework week beginning 17/08/20

This week in writing, we are making time capsules, which I will keep until the end of the school year, when you can open it and see home much you’ve changed and the progress you have made. So our homework is to colour, cut and create your time capsule. Please make the cube, but leave it open at one side so that we can put the piece of writing inside! (I have provided the boys and girls with a template)

Homework is to be handed in on a Friday.
