Spelling – 4 activities in homework jotter (list of activities given). I have explained that should you wish to begin your homework with a spelling test, you can use activities for the rest of the week to focus on any words you are not yet confident to spell independently.
Reading: Please read these chapters aloud to someone and remember to use some of the reading strategies sent home already to help with your understanding of the text.
Purple Group: (Charlotte’s Web) Chapters 7 and 8
Green Group: (Butterfly Lion) Chapters 4 and 5, Bertie and the Lion and Running Free
Red Group: (The Twits) pgs. 26-35
Numeracy – Login to Studyladder/Sumdog and complete activities once or twice this week, or use other online Numeracy games.
Circles practice x tables 2-9, Triangles practice x tables 2, 3, 4, 5, 10 and begin working on 6, 7, 8 and 9 x tables
Triangles – practice all times tables 2-9, particular focus on 6, 7 and 8 x tables
Learn Its – Please see sheet sent home and practice learning these facts and tables off by heart on a regular basis.
