Love Learning Love Life Day

It was  lovely to see so many of you in school yesterday afternoon. As always, there was a positive buzz around the school with smiling children and adults. The children did a brilliant job of showing you what they love about learning in all the different subjects. I hope you all went away feeling informed about your child’s strengths.

We had lots a great comments from you. You enjoyed seeing the variety of learning styles and varied opportunities. Many noted the enthusiasm children have for the creative learning that takes place.

Stay and Play Days

It was lovely to meet the children who are moving into Primary 1 after the holidays.

Activities were all based in the outdoor area and it was so lovely to see the bairns playing so happily together. It was also a great opportunity to meet all the parents.

They explored the wildlife garden and were delighted to meet our resident frog who was quite happy to be admired.

All the children received the book ‘Bobby and the Burland Pearls’ which we read out at the Learning Logs.

The children had 4 sessions at the school and the weather was amazing so we were very lucky. They got to toast marshmallow on the Firepit, play games, sing songs and do some craft activities on the third session.

The final session was all about having fun, saying goodbye to the Early Years Staff a little farewell party.

Sun shines on Sports day
