Nesting and Girlsta UHA
We enjoyed a visit from the NGUHA squad today. Mrs Forsyth and P1/2 had created a quiz for the Guizer Jarl and we all enjoyed a Boston Two Step to finish off the visit.

Our Child Led Parents’ Event
It was wonderful to see so many families in school last week enjoying the curriculum activities and walks around the school. Almost all feedback is positive and any suggestions will be brought forward to our next child led event.

The weather was not on our side this year, but Mr Kirkness organised an excellent morning of challenges for all our Primary pupils.
Final scores for the day:
1st Flotta – 256 points
2nd Greena – 241 points
3rd Hoy – 226 points
Moving Up Day into P1/2
After listening to the story of the Three Billy Goats Gruff it was straight into some STEM challenges. The children had to start to build a bridge until they met up with their partner who was building towards them from the opposite side of the river. They could only choose 20 blocks each.
Then of course we had to make some goats and even a troll or two to go under the bridges!

Top Bowls Competition
Nesting and Girlsta Up Helly Aa
The Jarl and his squad came to visit everyone at the school. Primary 3/4 prepared a game full of challenges, games and questions to play with the Jarl. There was a swapping of gifts which was followed with a Boston Two Step danced by Pupils, Vikings, parents, friends and staff.
Christmas Concert
Primary 3/4 performed The Night Before Christmas.
Primaries 5,6 and 7 performed Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
