Parental Involvement and Engagement Census

Shetland Islands Council, along with all other local authorities, is participating in the census on Parental Involvement and Engagement (PIE).  The PIE census is a national survey of parents’ views and experiences regarding their involvement and engagement with their local school.  Responses to the survey will help support improvement at a school and local authority level and help build a picture of parental engagement at a national level.

The school will be emailing information about this survey to parents/carers in Primay and Secondary today.  There is a survey for parents of pupils in primary schools and a separate survey for parents of pupils in secondary schools.  Each survey only takes around 10 minutes to complete.  For convenience, we have also included the links here:

Thank you in advance for your participation in this very important piece of work.  If you would prefer a paper copy of the survey, please contact Schools Service on 01595 74 4758 or 74 4000.
