Wider Achievement- Trauma Teddies

My Wider achievement group have been using their knitting skills to make  teddies for a Police Scotland Appeal.

Everyone says that they’ve had a great time this term, and that the lesson passes very quickly. It’s been splendid to see pupils engrossed in their knitting, as well as taking it home to do some more.

Next term we plan to knit some small items for the neonatal unit at ARI.

Update February 2020:

After pupils took part in a drama workshop, Jackie’s Story,  organised by Shetland Women’s Aid, they agreed to donate the teddies to the family room at Women’s Aid in Lerwick. Here is a photo of the teddies, lined up ready for their journey , and the card we received from the team at Women’s Aid.
