On Thursday a group of girls from P6-S4 had the opportunity to attend a coaching session in the West Mainland Leisure Centre. The session was run by Jo Dunlop who is a Development Officer for the Scottish Football Association and is up in Shetland for the Big Takeover weekend. During the weekend 3 of our pupils (Maria Hutchison, Karis Leask and Amber Paton) are playing for Shetland in matches against Orkney and Stonehaven. The girls thoroughly enjoyed the sessions. As there were 2 age group sessions, we took the opportunity to visit Aith Lifeboat. We are very grateful to Adam James, Coxswain, and John, Engineer, for showing us around. Thanks also to Caroline Kay and Natalie Constable for volunteering to help supervise pupils on the trip.
