New Year, New Rules
At the January meeting Miss Irvine introduced the new rules that had been chosen by gathering suggestions from Primary and Secondary.
- Be safe

- Be your best
We discussed the new rules and pupils made posters for their class and Miss Irvine copied them to go up around the school.

What is not going so well? | How can we fix the things that are not going so well? |
Football – ‘nobody passes to me’ | Assembly – Mrs Irvine/Miss Irvine will encourage everyone to pass to everyone |
Crisp packets lying about | Mrs Irvine will pass problem onto eco-group – possibly have litter monitors |
Some of the peerie ones look in the lockers when we are standing there | Older pupils to politely tell younger pupils not to look |
Tar at the back – some people put crisp packets down the drain instead of in the bin because they don’t want to stop playing football | Mrs Irvine will pass problem onto eco-group – possibly have litter monitors. Supervisory assistant to keep an eye out for pupils putting litter in bin – use merit scheme |
Swings – people budge in and some people go on for too long | Mrs Irvine to consider getting a timer and explain rules at assembly i.e. if you move from line, you lose spot and you can’t keep spaces |
Some of the younger ones go on the P4-7 tar and the P4-7 bit of the football pitch | Assembly – remind younger pupils of playground spaces |
Some folk want more equipment i.e. seesaw on the grassy bit at the peerie tar | Pupil council can consider how to use this grassy space and raise money if need be |
Play Leaders – older classes interfere and distract | Play Leaders to give an assembly on their role and the rules |
