Our Primary Pupil Council consists of 7 children from P2 to P7 and they have the responsibility of representing the pupils of Whalsay Primary School.
Whalsay School Pupil Council aims to
- make everyone feel proud of the school
- make sure everyone respects and take care of our peers and the school
- make everyone feel safe and happy
- work together with their peers to make the school the best it can be
Pupil Councils Roles and Responsibilities
- We are the pupil voice for our class
- We listen politely
- We respect other people’s opinions
- We work together to complete tasks
- We contribute sensibly to meetings
They are also responsible for encouraging and organising school events which bring the pupils and staff together either for fun, to raise awareness or raise funds for the school or charity.
