House Captain Speeches

Since returning to school this year the Primary 7 children have been working hard on writing and presenting their speech, in the hope to represent their House as Primary Captain.

The children have been learning about how to write a persuasive argument.  The children have considered the use of powerful language in persuading an audience or reader.  They have also thought about how they can highlight their skills and qualities to show that they would be the best candidate for the job.

When presenting their speeches the children had to work on making sure that they could be heard by their audience and that they were looking at their audience whilst talking.

They have worked extremely hard on their speeches and whilst we hope to announce the results, of the school vote, as soon as possible.  I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge well done and no matter who is appointed House Captain you should all feel very proud of what you have achieved.
