We are definitely in the mood for Spring at the nursery just now!
Last week we went for a walk to look for signs of Spring and we found plenty! There were buds and flowers starting to grow on the trees, plenty of daffodils and we checked on the frog spawn again too.
We also went out to play on the tar for a change instead of going to the canteen since the weather was much better. We had lots of fun.
Last Wednesday we planted our sunflower seeds. We have been watering them every day and some of them are growing already! We can’t wait to take them home next week to continue looking after them.
Last Thursday we were so excited because the playpark had finally dried up enough that we could go and play there! The playpark is great for our gross motor development and for developing our risky play and risk awareness.
We had great fun dressing up for Comic Relief last Friday too.
This week we had a small faux pas making the playdough and rather than dump it Miss Stewart thought it would be a great idea to put it outside to be played with at the mud kitchen. We loved it, it was so sticky and gloopy but wir poor hands, including Miss Stewart’s hands, ended up dyed bright red! We love playing outside and have been out lots lately with the better weather.
We continue to be very busy inside too. This term has flown by!
