In primary 4-7 we had fun doing PARKOUR exercises with Isla from Active Schools.       

STEM challenge 2 – Wind Turbines

STEM co-ordinators Eleanor and Emma challenged P4-7 to create their own wind turbines using Lego Tech. There was a Lego Tech generator and the children could measure the speed and electricity through a monitor. Lots of engineers among us in Lunnasting!

2D Shapes

In Maths this week, we have been working with different 2D shapes.

P4 – 7 were using oil pastels and blending to create amazing colours to represent each season.

Step-by-step drawing

P4 – 7’s listening skills were put to practise during a step-by-step tutorial, ‘Draw with Rob’ on YouTube.

3d Snowflakes

We got into the Christmas spirit by making beautiful decorations. We followed a YouTube step-by-step tutorial. We think they look amazing! Ask your child to help you make your own at home. P4 – 7s are experts now! You can view the tutorial here. Please send us some pictures if you make some!

Ability Shetland film

In P4-7, we have been learning about what it means to be Neurodiverse. We have been watching this fantastic video shared by Ability Shetland and had lots of discussion around neurodivergent ways of experiencing the world.
