Drama afternoon

Izzy Swanson joined us this afternoon for lots of drama fun! We had games, drama scenes from Tudor and Stuart times and also got to dress up in the amazing costumes!

Shetland Youth Music Festival

On Tuesday, P4-7 travelled to Mareel to perform their two songs on stage in front of an audience. They did a superb job, singing wonderfully. They really did themselves proud. They also got a chance to watch the other entries. A brilliant experience. Well done to P4-7!

Buddying

This week, P4-7 have buddied up with the pre-school children to start with transitions. The P5s have been paired with a nursery child and will spend time on Wednesday mornings, having a short play. Childsmile have also been in to teach the children how to manage younger children’s teeth brushing.

Dynamic Earth Planetarium

We had a visit from Dynamic Earth and they brought a planetarium. P4-7 and the nursery went inside the planetarium dome together. When it got really dark in there, we were shown the different planets and we had a trip through our solar system, our galaxy and the universe. We all really enjoyed it.

Table Tennis

Active Schools organised some Table Tennis taster sessions for us. Joan Smith led the session and P4-7 showed some real skills! Joan and Chris are back next Monday, too!

They even used their robots to have a game of football and races! Later, the class programmed their robots by using algorithms to use voices and move in a… Continue reading STEM
