P2/3 were lucky to have a visit from Bruce Eunson from Shetlandforwirds (Promoting Shetland Dialect).  He read Christine de Luca’s new book: Grottie-Buckie an Tirli-Wirli and gave each pupil a bag containing  the book: Creepie Crawlies,  written by Catherinne Gibb & Julie Hay and ilustrated by Ann Marie Anderson.

If any of the pupils complete drawings/colourings  in the book, he has asked if they could be brought back to school so that we can scan the drawings and send them to him, to share with the authors.

It was a super session and the bairns engaged well. We all learned lots of new words. Lovely to hear them spikkin the Shetland Dialect!
