We have started our investigations around 2D and 3D shapes. The children are loving the short activities and getting used to moving on to the next group.
There was great excitement at the height and style of the towers they built using Jenga blocks and they loved building a wall for papier-mâché Humpty Dumpty which they made last week. They worked really hard to colour their monsters carefully, matching the shape with the colour.

Planning, protection and parkour
The children spent a long time planning and adjusting their parkour course until it was just how they wanted it. They the tried it out and are a few attempts decided they needed to add some chalk directions and safety lines to guide them.
Developing language
Some fantastic discussion over pasta shape, sharing food fairly and encouraging Catnap to try some was had.
Drumming
We have been lucky to get some drumming with Joy Duncan. The children are loving the experience practicing their motor skills, rhythm and listening skills.
PE – Movement Skills
In PE we have been developing our movement skills through simple games and activities, learning to us the space safely and developing our listening and responding skills.
The class loved todays circuit that involved moving around different obstacles that required changes of direction and height, balance and coordination. Here we are in action.
