Welcome to Term 4

Welcome back to Sound School for the final term of this session. It is always a busy term with lots of transition events for P7 and our new P1 and Nursery children taking place, along with events  like STEM week and Sports day.

Our values for this term are:

Happiness and Inclusion

Primary 1 – Da Voar Redd Up 2025

Primary 1 took part in Da Voar Redd Up on Friday 25th April and decided to clean an area that they often visit as part of their outdoor learning – Sands of Sound beach.  They were sad at the amount of mess that the humans had left on the beach but did an excellent job of tidying up what was safe for them to do. Well done P1!

Drumming and dancing with Joy

Over the past few weeks Joy Duncan has been coming to school with her drums for Nursery, P1 and P2 to learn some drumming and rhythm skills.  On Thursday afternoon we came together to celebrate and share the learning with our friends.

P2A sharing with their friends the warm up that they have learned with Joy.

P2B showing off their drumming skills.

P1B sharing their learning and fun that they have had over the past 6 weeks.

P1A did an excellent job of the name repetition game.

Nursery showing everyone how to dance and move.

After all of the classes had shared then we had the chance to dance to the beat. Some children chose to share their moves for others to copy.

It was a great afternoon of sharing learning and having fun with Joy.
