About the Educational Psychology Service
The Educational Psychology Service (EPS) is part of Shetland Islands Council’s Children’s Services and is based at 28 Burgh Road, in the centre of Lerwick. It is staffed by two full-time members of staff, including a Principal Educational Psychologist and an Educational Psychologist, and a part-time Educational Psychologist and part-time Autism and Neurodiversity Teacher. Educational Psychologists have honours degrees in Psychology, a post-graduate qualification in Educational Psychology and experience of working with children and young people.
Mission Statement
The mission of the service is to offer effective, evidenced based psychological services to children, young people and those who support them, to make a positive difference to their lives. The child is central and work is undertaken in spirit of collaboration, co-operation and respect.
