This week, P7 have been researching how Britain prepared for War in 1939. If families had a garden, they could build an Anderson Shelter to protect themselves from Nazi Bombs. They were notoriously damp and unpleasant.
As a STEM Challenge, our groups got to build an Anderson shelter using card, glue and sellotape. They had to think about the structure and how to make it strong to withstand enemy bombs. They also had to make it waterproof so the little cotton wool person didn’t get wet.
It was a great afternoon and all the groups worked well together. This was another part of the challenge.
Mrs Tait had the pleasure of bombing and pouring water on them.
