We have been working co-operatively to create a group Power point and then present our work to the class using big clear voices and lots of eye contact.
We each chose a pastime of the Romans to research and create a few slides on. We had to use our own words and add images to our slides.
We practised as a group so we knew the order we would be speaking in.
We worked cooperatively to read and sort instructions to make a Model of a Roman Catapult. Then we made it using lollypop sticks, elastic bands and lots of patience. It was very fiddly.
We had fun testing them. Some of us discovered we had to make little changes to make the bowl spring more so the “boulder” went further.
We have been learning the history of Roman Numerals and what each numeral represents.
We did some problem solving activities to practise using Roman Numerals.
