For young leaders this week, we were looking at area for activities and how to change the area if a game is taking too long. It’s also important to make sure the area is safe for doing activities.
Our topic is The Decades and we are looking at fashion through the decades. In pairs we are making an outfit inspired by the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. We are also creating powerpoint presentations to deliver to the class.
We have been doing Young Leaders with Danny Peterson on Mondays for the past 2 weeks. He is training us to be leaders of younger classes. On week 6 weeks he is taking us to teach activities to the Primary 1 pupils. So far we have played a game called sticky and we have practiced how to put people into even groups.

This week we have done lots of things such as……
Music and art lessons up at the secondary it is new for our class and we all enjoyed it and it was really fun.
Our topic right now is the decades. We did pop art which was really fun. Then once we had drawn out the pictures we got to paint them which was by far most people’s favourite bit. You had to choose very bright colours and if I did one picture green the picture next to it would have to be a contrasting colour like purple or red. If you go into Whalsay School you will see our pictures on the wall. We also got PE with Miss Spence up at the leisure centre we did unihock it was very fun!
Then today (Friday) we did a spelling test and wrote this thank you for reading our class blog we will write again next Friday
