Wow what a busy term. I can’t believe we are nearly at the end of term. Here’s an update of what we have been up to.
Lerwick Up Helly Aa
The weather was kind so we managed to walk to the street to see the Jarl Squad morning procession. We loved seeing the galley and the guizers. In the afternoon we had a visit from the Jarl squad and even got a chance to try the helmets, axes and shields. They were impressed with the Shields we made.

Term 3 Learning
We have been working hard all term learning about subtraction and money in maths, and we have been learning punctuate our sentences with full stops, exclamation marks and question marks. We have done a LOT of writing.
We have done 2 different topics this term.
Topic 1 – The Senses
We learnt all about our 5 senses and finished the topic by putting our senses to the test. Miss Watson (Foundation apprentice with UHI) also got involved by creating a fantastic feely box. We loved all the stations but the feely box and the fidgets were the best. The smell station was a very “smelly!”

Topic 2 – Who lived here before us
We made our second trip out this term to the museum. We learnt about the people who have lived here before us and made timelines to show when things happened.

We really enjoyed our visit so we have written letters to Mari and Ellie at the museum to say thank you for the tour.
Primary 3 have worked really hard this term but we have had time for a little fun too.

Ayla and Ella worked together to create a lovely game during Fun Friday
Remember to post your comments! We’d love to hear from you,
Mrs Tait and Primary 3
