Outdoor Learning with 1A

Last week we visited the Stoney Beach again with 1A. We had a lovely time exploring and collecting some items from the beach.

The next day we had a chance to write about our finds using lots of interesting adjectives. This linked into our target for the writing project this term. We also had a chance to share our writing with primary 1, and to read their writing, which we really enjoyed. Through this we used the meta-skills of collaboration, creativity and communication.

Below are some pupil comments:

“It felt like we were testing our eyesight whilst looking for tiny shells!”

“I think it was good getting the chance to explore and find out more about it.”

“It was really fun showing the primary ones what we can do.”

“It was impressive.”

“It was nice seeing how good they are at writing.”
