Here are some excellent examples of completed activities.
Well done to everyone who has been busy working through the Home Learning activities this week. I have really enjoyed seeing examples of your work.
Remember you can email me pictures of your work at gw15irvinejayne@glow.sch.uk
I will post new Home Learning tasks every Monday for the week ahead. If you have any questions please email me at the above address. Due to feedback from parents I will only be setting maths and spelling challenges on Sumdog and your children can use the Oxford Owl website to practice reading skills.
Here are some examples of this weeks work, well done everyone!
I hope you are all enjoying your learning at home and getting plenty of time to play and adjust to the changes that have happened. If any of you complete a task that you are proud of, please comment on this post so I can see it!
It is a lovely day today so a great opportunity to take your learning outside.
Primary 1/2 are learning how to be healthy and today we were thinking about what we eat. We learnt that we need 5 portions of fruit and vegetables every day and that a portion is about the size of our palm.
Primary 1 and 2 are learning about data handling this week. The children have been busy sorting items in various ways including by size, shape and colour.
We have been outside gathering data and using Venn diagrams to sort and interpret data. Today we were using grid to make pictograms with our loose parts.
This week at Friday Fun, the Primary 1/2 bakers made ice-cream and fruit sorbet. We were scientists and used ice, salt and a liquid of their choice to make a yummy treat. Most children enjoyed their creation and everyone had a lot of fun shaking up their bags!
