When using these rhymes, encourage children to start in the right place so they finish in the right place.

Zero

“Around we go to look for a hero, back to the top for number zero!”

Number One

“A downward stroke, my that’s fun. Now I’ve made a number one.”

Number Two

Number Three

Number Four

Number Five

Draw the hat, the back and the belly. It’s a five. Watch out, it may come alive!”
