Curriculum Information P67 (Term 3)
Mr. Hayes
Hello again everyone!
I hope you all had a fun snow day yesterday and had some time to chill. Here is some more home learning activities for you to complete if you are able.
Have fun and hopefully see you in school soon!
Hello everyone,
Happy New Year and HAPPY SNOW DAY! There is snow way we could have predicted this! I hope you had a cool day yesterday.
Please find a home learning grid below with some activities to complete if you wish. I am looking forward to seeing if anyone completes the snowman challenge.
Have fun!
Our students in P3–7 put on a fantastic performance of High School Christmas Musical. From our backstage crew to our choirs, or the rap stars to our unassuming heroes, each pupil gave it 100%, and we couldn’t be more proud of them.
Mr Hayes

We had a fantastic day learning about Shetland’s history and the important role that Shetland played in WWII, with a particular focus on the Shetland Bus.
A massive thank you to Laurie and Billy who opened the museum specifically for our trip.

Have a peek at P1/2 Blogs to see our P6 students with their reading buddies!
In P6/7, we were lucky enough to have Elanor and Fiona from UHI visit to lead a STEM-based activity on our first day back at school. The task focused on using giant Meccano and problem-solving skills to create different structures that got progressively harder.

Please click on the link below for an overview of what the students will be learning this term up to Christmas.
Mr. Hayes
P6/7 kicked off our class assemblies this year with an informative, educational, and entertaining assembly all about the human body. I am sure you will love our classic pose but also our ‘model pose’ in the photos below.

Welcome to the P6/7 at Sandwick Junior High School.
We value strong partnerships with parents/carers and we hope that the blog will support sharing of learning and teaching experiences.
Class teachers will share a ‘curriculum information’ which gives an overview of intended learning for each class.
Class teachers will share a minimum of 3 blog posts over the term which will share learning and teaching experiences.
