We took part in a workshop from The Glasgow Science center. It was all about the body. The first part was called Disgusting Digestion. We learned about healthy food choices and how food passes through the body.
There were lots of activities in the second part of the workshop – we really enjoyed them!
We made our own fossils! First we made the salt dough, then pressed a toy skeleton dinosaur in it. We let it dry then painted it.
The lasses are enjoying gymnastics in PE!
We made right angle checkers and found lots of right angles!

Eve took her kittens in for show and tell. We loved getting cuddles from them!
Olivia-Jo took her cat Smudges in for show and tell. She has lots of toys she likes to play with!
We made firework biscuits for bonfire night.
We worked together to weigh and mix the ingredients. We had fun decorating them to look like fireworks!
Willum’s (from P1/2) Mam Louise came in to speak about her job as a Pharmacist. She brought in lots of different types of inhalers and did a quiz to see if we knew the difference between types of sweeties and types of medicine. It wasn’t as easy to tell as we thought!
Merryn’s Mam visited our class to speak about her job as a Physics teacher. We learned about the 3 sciences taught at high school: biology, chemistry and physics.
We learned about different organs in the body, what a chemical reaction is and how to safely light a Bunsen Burner.
We also learned about the different types of jobs you can get when you study science.
