Our first STEM Challenge of p3/4 was making marble runs using newspaper and junk.  We spoke about how to design it and what features a marble run would need.  My instruction was that it needed to be able to stand up on its own and a marble needed to be  put in one end and come out of the other.  Each group made an excellent marble run and they all went for very different designs.  We had a class vote to decide the winning group and it was Isla, Eleanor and Hendry!

We have been doing some of out maths lessons through active learning, where the pupils have gone around the classroom in groups to complete a set of activities.  This day we were looking at odd/even numbers, number ordering, number recognition and counting on.

This week we started our Space topic by looking at the Earth, Sun and Moon.  The class were split into 3 groups and they each made a poster and presented it to the rest of the class.  Everyone did great research to find out all of these facts!
