World Book Day!

Mrs Bannister set up a lovely peerie space for World Book Day a few weeks ago.  The children absolutely loved it and it was such a peaceful place to sit and read.  Hopefully we can set something like this up again!

Human Body – The Circulatory System!

We have been learning about that circulatory system.  We used tennis balls and water as the ‘heart’ and ‘blood’.  We squeezed the tennis balls to act as the heart beating and the water dripping acting as the blood transporting to the rest of the body.

We made red and blue play dough with Mrs Bannister! Then we used it to model the circulatory system – the heart, veins and arteries in the body.

We also used the play dough to make models of the heart! We learned about the different valves we have in the heart that takes the blood and oxygen around the body.
