We had some Primary 4 helpers in on Thursday to show us how to play Sumdog. It was very useful and we all had a great time practising our Maths and Digital Technology skills.

Primary 1 have been learning about Diwali. They have been looking at the story of Rama and Sita, ordering the events of the story and talking about the characters and their favourite parts.
On Friday we made Divas out of clay. For some children, this was their first experience of using clay and they enjoyed exploring it using their senses.

Maria Leask has been visiting us today to practise our traditional dancing. The Primary 1 class worked with Primary 2 to learn the “Grand Old Duke of York” and everyone fairly enjoyed it! We will hopefully get to practise it at the Family Dance and the Christmas Party.

Primary 6/7 visited us on Friday 2nd November to help the children in Primary 1 make poppies for the P6/7 Assembly on WW1.
The P6/7 class was very helpful and supported the P1 class very well.

Primary 1 would like to thank the parent council for the lovely new mat and listening centre they bought us. It has made such a difference to our literacy corner.

It has been great to see everyone back and ready to go for the new term. We had a news sharing time in the morning followed by literacy and numeracy activities. The children have enjoyed playing in the Halloween themed activities.

We have been busy learning about Autumn in Primary 1. There have been plenty of autumn themed literacy and numeracy activities, as well as lots of opportunities to be creative.
We also learned about hibernation and had a go at making some suitable hedgehog nests.
