Our Autumn Adventures

We have been enjoying exploring Autumn in P2/3 this week! We have been noticing the changes happening around us and getting creative with some of the beautiful autumn colours.

We used leaves collected from the Community Garden to make our own leaf prints. The children chose different autumn colours and experimented with printing the leaves onto paper. These will become part of our Autumn display once it is finished.

While we were outside, some of the girls had lots of fun creating their own “raining leaves”!  They threw handfuls of leaves into the air and enjoyed watching them fall all around them. There were lots of smiles and laughter!

We also created some beautiful Autumn trees using bubble wrap. The children cut out a tree shape and then used autumnal colours with bubble wrap to dab and blot around the template, revealing the outline of their tree. It was a simple activity, but the class were incredibly engaged and really enjoyed watching their pictures come to life.

The finished trees look fantastic and will also be added to our autumn display.

I have loved seeing the children getting creative, exploring autumn colours and enjoying the season both inside and outdoors this week!
