This week, our big question has been about the importance of sleep. I asked if the children had any good ideas on how we could evidence our learning and Etta suggested, “Why don’t we get a photo of us pretending to sleep and then we can write things on it..?” I thought that this was a great idea and the rest of the class agreed!! Here are some of the things the bairns came up with… (Thanks to Etta for the super idea!)
P4/5 Science Fair
Mrs Johnson and Primary 4/5 invited our class along to their science fair this afternoon. The children rotated around 5 different science stations. It was so lovely having a peep into what the P4/5 class have been up to and the bairns loved the different science experiments. Thanks for having us along.
We love play projects
This week, our play project theme is Our Community and the bairns got stuck in immediately. We have had some super creations from boat building with the blocks, maps and some post boxes made from junk. We also had a group of 5 visit the local polycrub (photos to follow soon). What a great start to the week!
We love drawing club
The primary 1/2s have impressed us all with their drawings this week! They listened to a story and did 6 vocabulary words/actions before going on to the drawings. Well done!
We love outside play
We are very lucky with out outdoor space! We love to get out at every opportunity.
Drawing Club
We started the term with a revisit to “Not Now, Bernard!” and the bairns really surprised us with their amazing drawing of a monster. The detail that was included made us very excited to see what the year ahead will bring!
Meeting Chicks
We were delighted to welcome Brian and Amanda Halcrow into Primary 1/2 with four of their nine new chicks. The bairns enjoyed having a hold or stroke of the chicks and loved the different colours they were. Thanks to Brian and Amanda for coming along to visit.
We love outdoor play
Every chance we get… we get outside! Mrs Bannister is our fantastic play support worker who always provides some great opportunities for our bairns to play… both indoors and out!
First day of Primary 1/2 – 2024/2025
We have had a great first day in our new class. The bairns got a little surprise when they came in to a new layout but they have got stuck in (as always) and are getting used to the environment, the routines and the new challenges ahead! A great first day!
