We had Joan and Chris along to do some bat and ball skills this morning. The main focus was table tennis and the bairns had a lot of fun joining in!

We love… Handwashing
Today we had a go with the UV light to see how well we washed our hands. It made us all very aware of how much scrubbing we should be doing…!
We love… learning about Occupational Therapists
We were absolutely delighted to welcome Amanda (Jessie’s mam) to the class today to tell us about her role as an Occupational Therapist. The bairns loved guessing what the different equipment was used for and trying out some of them too! A big thank you to Amanda for taking the time to come in and share this with our class… we loved it!
We love… Cunningsburgh’s Got Talent
This afternoon, the bairns were invited to join in/watch “Cunningsburgh’s Got Talent” and they did not disappoint. There were magicians, singers, dancers, acting, comedy, skaters… and so much more. The final will be held on Monday afternoon. Thanks to Primary 4/5 and Mrs Johnson for hosting.
We love… Learning about food hygiene
For our big question, we are looking at food hygiene. Joanne kindly welcomed us into the canteen to share lots of interesting facts and information about food hygiene. We were told about the different chopping boards, temperatures, storing foods, uniforms, safety in the kitchen… and so much more. Special thanks to Joanne for having us along.
We love… Big plays with Primary 6/7
Mrs Adamson and her lovely class invited us in for a big, creative play this week. The children picked who they wanted to work with as well as choose how they would like to play and we were blown away with the creative things we saw! We had tractors, penguins, snow art, posters, painting, a whole lot of fun and plenty more! We also saw teamwork, creativity, imagination, joy and so much more! Thank you to Mrs Adamson and P6/7 for having us… we loved our morning!
We love… Christmas Parties
We had a super start to the week with our Christmas party. (iPads are not designed for action shots… a few blurry photos missing the groovy moves we were seeing!) We played some party games and then moved into the hall for some food and ended with Grand Old Duke of York! A lovely afternoon.

Special thanks to Louise for the amazing art work for background/props and to all other staff who helped in some way! So lovely to see wir happy, confident bairns putting on a brilliant show!
(Thanks to parents for sending in photos!)
We love… the polycrub at Christmas time
On Monday afternoon we went for a walk to the polycrub to join in with some Christmas crafts. The bairns listened to the Christmas story before going on to make some angels, play pin the tail on the donkey, dress up and some other Christmas themed activities. Was a lovely afternoon.
We Love…Playing Outdoors
Mrs Bannister organised another fun Monday morning! There was lots of fun from ice skating, painting ice pizza, snow eggs, eating snow and ice, making matching snow hats, snowmen, and ladies, teamwork to roll big snow balls and opening our mouths to taste the falling snow and hail! Special thanks (as always) to Mrs Bannister for being the best play support worker!!
