We love… SMUHA 2025
We had a lovely SMUHA day! The bairns watched the Early Years procession in the morning before we welcomed the jarl squad to the school. The bairns sang their song to the jarl squad (they were AMAZING) before some vikings coming to visit the classes. In the afternoon we had wir own procession led by Trevor. A busy but enjoyable day!
We love… Early Years SMUHA 2025
The Early Years started SMUHA morning in the most perfect of ways! It was lovely to watch their morning procession! Well done to all involved.
We love… World Book Day
Mrs Bannister set up a cosy corner in the shared area where the bairns could access all day where they got to write stories, type stories, listen to stories (by friends, an adult and audio books!) Thank you to Mrs Bannister for a lovely setting.
We love… Experiments (Dissolving)
This afternoon we were carrying out some dissolving experiments. We looked at different temperatures of water (hot and cold) to see if it made any difference. We also spoke about soluable and insoluable things. The bairns did great and we had a lovely afternoon!
We love…indoor bowls with Mrs Bannister
Mrs Bannister had a lovely surprise for the bairns this morning… indoor bowls. They had a super morning and all got stuck in. Thanks to Mrs Bannister for a lovely morning. A great way to start the week.
We love… Ambulances
Linda (Ashley’s mam) helped to organise a visit from the ambulance. Laura and Heidi (and the ambulance) came to the school where they answered some burning questions from the bairns and then took us outside to see the ambulance. It was a super morning. Thank you to Laura and Heidi for taking time out of their day to come to Cunningsburgh School!
We love… Table tennis (2)
Joan was back to carry out some more table tennis based activities and the bairns LOVED it! Lots of concentration going on a well as some impression bat work! Well done everyone… and thanks to Joan Smith!
We love…Olicks
We had a very unexpected (and surprising) visitor the other week. Winnie’s dad arrived at the school with an olick that he had caught. As you can imagine, it brought about a lot of excitement.
We love… Lerwick Up Helly Aa
We had a super morning in Lerwick to see the morning procession before going to the Museum to join in with a variety of crafts and a treasure hunt. A lovely morning was had by all!
