Mrs Bannister organised another fun Monday morning! There was lots of fun from ice skating, painting ice pizza, snow eggs, eating snow and ice, making matching snow hats, snowmen, and ladies, teamwork to roll big snow balls and opening our mouths to taste the falling snow and hail! Special thanks (as always) to Mrs Bannister for being the best play support worker!!

We Love…A Big Play
We love a Big Play with the whole school. Lots of fun was had by all.
We Love… Monster Kickabout
Some bairns from the Primary 6/7 class hosted a week of Monster Kickabout… and wir class LOVED it! After a week of football related activities during break and lunch time, the P6/7s then organised a session on Friday morning. They had three different stations set up and it was a lovely morning. In the afternoon there was an awards ceremony for a colouring in competition as well as certificates. Thank you to the bairns for a lovely week of fun!
We love… Learning About Babies (2)
We had Theresa (Etta’s mam) and Albie along for a visit to tell us about the kind of food that Albie eats. We even got to see Albie having his lunch! Thank you so much to Theresa and Albie for coming in!
We love… Learning About Babies (1)
We had Linda (Ashley’s mam) and Chloe along for a visit to tell us about the kind of food that Chloe eats. We even got to see Chloe having her vitamins! Thank you so much to Linda and Chloe for coming in!
We love… Playdough and Junk Modelling
Mrs Bannister, wir play support worker, asked the bairns what they would like to do. This week they asked for playdough and junk modelling… and they had great fun. BIG thank you to Mrs Bannister for making the start of our week so much fun!
We love… Play Leaders
This afternoon, primary 6 ran a play leaders session for our primary 2s and they LOVED it! They came back to share the games they played and are already excited for next week. Thank you to Primary 6 for a fun-packed afternoon.
We love… a Big Play
We love when we open all the doors to all the classes in the school and we can go and explore the other classrooms and play with a mixture of bairns from other classes!
We love… Shetland Youth Orchestra
What a way to start a Monday morning. We welcomed the Shetland Youth Orchestra to our school this morning. They performed a variety of “spooky themed” music – the favourites being Harry Potter and the Ghostbusters! Thanks to the Shetland Youth Orchestra for their visit.
We love…categorising materials
Today we were looking at materials, including metal, glass, plastic and wood. We spoke about natural materials as well as people-made materials before going on to do some sorting activities. The bairns did brilliant and some excellent team work and communication skills were also observed.
