Our P5-7 class attended the Music Festival on 17 March, singing ‘Innocent or Guilty’ from their Christmas play. We were all delighted that they were awarded a Gold Certificate!

We all really enjoyed World Book Day. The children made a huge effort, coming to school dressed as their favourite book character. They shared books with each other and welcomed parents to the school in the afternoon. Everyone got a chance to see the new library lay-out taking shape. We’d like to send a massive thank you to the Parent Council for raising money and supplying some lovely new books to the school.

What a fabulous night we’ve had for Rabbie’s birthday! We’ve danced the night away and all tried haggis, neeps and tatties! Thank you for everybody for coming along, for taxiing bairns, for helping cook, clean and dance! I am so proud of all my peerie jewels for joining in so well and thankful for staff volunteers!

Happy New Year!!
I hope you all had a lovely Christmas holiday. How many things did you manage to do from your holiday help list?
Hope you’re all enjoying the snow!
Ms Tulloch
A huge thank you to everyone who attended our concert yesterday, we raised a fabulous £554! We hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did!

Well done to the Lunnasting Netball Team who won all their matches in their first games in Unst. They showed good sportmanship and were brilliant ambassadors for the school.
A huge thank you to Laura Hay and Mrs Kirkness for coaching the team!

The Pupil Council organised a fun day for Children in Need. Children could dress in their pyjamas, there was a plant sale with plants donated by Veneta Johnson, a book sale and a Christmas Card sale with cards donated by Jane Herculson. The children could throw wet sponges at the Pupil Council which was very popular! They also ran a raffle to win a Pudsey Bear, donated by Neve Christie. We were delighted to raise over £300. Thank you to everyone who donated and joined in this event.

We made the most of the lovely day and went to the beach for Friday Fun today.
