Well done to the Lunnasting Netball Team who won all their matches in their first games in Unst. They showed good sportmanship and were brilliant ambassadors for the school.
A huge thank you to Laura Hay and Mrs Kirkness for coaching the team!

The Pupil Council organised a fun day for Children in Need. Children could dress in their pyjamas, there was a plant sale with plants donated by Veneta Johnson, a book sale and a Christmas Card sale with cards donated by Jane Herculson. The children could throw wet sponges at the Pupil Council which was very popular! They also ran a raffle to win a Pudsey Bear, donated by Neve Christie. We were delighted to raise over £300. Thank you to everyone who donated and joined in this event.

We made the most of the lovely day and went to the beach for Friday Fun today.

Here we are at the Voar Redd Up 2025! There wasn’t much bruck but I think we got the lot! Some strange bits and pieces were found! What have you found on your redd ups?
Here are some photos from our walk to the beach this week.

We’ve been making the most of the sunny weather. Today we enjoyed a walk up to the playpark.
We were delighted to welcome the Delting Up-Helly-Aa Jarl Squad to the school on Friday 21 March.

We celebrated World Book Day in school today.
P4-6 prepared and read stories to the nursery and p1-3.
In the afternoon we did a range of book themed activities. We made book bunting and bookmarks and also completed a book scavenger hunt. For one of the activities we used the green screen to create book covers.

Last week the school had a visit from the Royal Navy to do some different STEM activities.
They set up 3 stations: a lesson about submarines, circuit making and coding.

The Pupil Council organised a Disco for Valentine’s Day. They raised £60 for charity.
