This week Alicia very kindly offered to read a story to the class which we really enjoyed! Eva made a story book and asked to read it to the class. She did a super job!

Another busy week
Whilst working with numbers to 5, Primary 1 counted out beads and used these to make bracelets. We decorated some sea creatures with zentangle patterns this week. Potion Making
Today we had a great time making our own potions. We started off by going to the garden to collect some outdoor materials to add to this. Show and Tell
This term all of the pupils have been given a day of the week to do show and tell. This is a great chance for them to practise speaking in front of others and to ask and answer questions. Below are some photos from show and tell so far.
Green Screen
We had fun using the green screen this afternoon. We worked in groups to create pictures and videos using different toys.
STEM
On Wednesday, P1-3 had a visit from Eleanor Hutcheon to undertake some STEM activities. We focused on the 5 senses discussing what they were and how they worked. We then did a few simple experiments isolating our senses to put each one to the test.
Special Visitor
We had a visit from Alice’s caddy lamb this morning who is called Rosie. Everyone was very excited!
Lego Scenes
We have been learning about making our own scenes / settings in our writing. This week we used Lego figures to create our own scenes in the garden. We then wrote about these. See some of our creations below:
Dissolving Experiment
Yesterday we had fun doing a small experiment using skittles. We learned that pouring warm water over them helps to dissolve the sugar in the skittles which makes the colours come out into the water.
