Our learning this Term in Foula

We continue to learn about WW1.  We’ve enjoyed researching the medals presented in the war and the stories behind them.  We used clay to create our own.

We found out about new technology especially the planes.  We used a variety of materials to create our own.

A clever use of a clothes peg!

We found out about children and their lives during the war.  We created colourful graffiti boards of our learning.

In the ELC we experienced clay and shape making.

We used tea to make our diary entries look authentic.  We reimagined stories from the war.

We are learning about WW1.

We learned about the Oceanic which sank off Foula in September 2014.

We found a porthole stored in the pier shed.

We announced the War in our front pages.

In the ELC we explored birds in our Bird-hide. We made jewellery at the makkin station and enjoyed Bobby and the Burland Pearls.
