Week 8 Outdoor Learning Trips

It’s been a good week in P2. Lots of the P2s have are now reading from Stage 2 reading books and are sounding out words well. P1 are progressing well with their sounds and most now know s, a, t, i, p, n, c, k, e, r, and h with m and d to come next.

Some of the pupils set themselves a challenge to build a really long piece of lego. It ended up as 3.75 metres long. That was also the length of 2.5 P2s or 3 P1s. Here’s a few pictures of the measuring:

This week we have also been learning about the Fire Service, investigating the number 6 (in P1), and counting in 2s and 5s in P2.

We are also hitting our writing targets in P2.
