Interest in the Earth (P3) and mapping (ELC) led us to create our own world map with clay, adding in mountain ranges. We are starting to investigate blanket bog habitats with Foula Heritage Rangers this term. We observed the peat bogs and different types of sphagnum moss up the hills on our way to visit a new landslide on da Sneug .

Foula ELC has been particularly curious about the creation of maps. Our ‘Creative of the Week’ has been Emily Garfield who creates beautiful imaginary maps through paint blowing – we had a try too! We loved it correlating with colour and snow.

Peerie orange seeds were saved from snacktime after lots of lovely discussions and then planted by nursery and are being checked and looked after daily.
