Digital School award

There was a digital school awards ceremony in Glasgow, to celebrate all the schools that had achieved their awards.  We couldn’t go because it was too much money to get there  so we used Google hangout so we could still be there!

When we saw  the welcoming party there was a Brass Band! They played some tunes and they were so good! After a while of listening to brass music they took us to the actual ceremony. There were a lot of important people. The people were giving speeches. There was the Education Minister she gave a big speech as well! Then all the schools that were there got all their awards.

During the Ceremony a man called David who was holding us on the laptop gave us a little note saying, “They will show you guys at the endJ!” When they presented us they took a picture. After they had done the ceremony they wanted a big group photo but we were also on Google hangouts with Burravoe Primary School and they were on the screen when the man doing the photo took it.

Goodbye Voxter!

Yesterday generation science came to visit and we found out about the smart grid and electricity.

Today we said goodbye to Fair Isle as they were flying early. Foula had to go early too incase there was fog, so we went to swimming lesson and museum by our selves. It was really interesting hearing some of the stories about the displays!

Voxter day 4

Surprise adventure this morning!

Mavis Grind, urafirth Primary School and Hillswick Seal Sanctuary.

Coffee Morning

We had a Coffee morning today! Lots of people came. When we came in school Mrs Hay had already set the tables up. We bought in all the cakes and cake stands and put them on the tables, we also put the tea, coffee, sugar and a few extra cakes. After a while Janet and Anne Jane came. They had some cakes and some tea. Then Janet left and I did the washing up and drying. My mum came when I finished the dishes and I had a cake. After that more people came and had tea and coffees, and few cakes. In the end we raised £106.

Thank you to all the people who came:)

Visit to Burravoe

We went to Burravoe for Glasgow Science Centre on Wednesday , I made a new freind. When the science thing came, me and my new friend partnered up we were the first people to identify the different breathing first for a long time. We also did the control pannel. It was fun. It was really excitingdoingall the different experiments and seeing the show.

I took part in the cracker eating contest.

They have amazing school dinners  but I had a packed lunch and I’m looking forward to visiting them again soon.
