As part of our learning about Chinese New Year, Meilo So came to visit us. Meilo is an artist and illustrator from Yell. She taught us about Chinese characters and even brought us some of her books as gifts for the school!
We all had a great time, Mr Thomson joined in too!

We used black markers. It was fascinating to hear about the process of creating the illustrations and seeing her original artwork.
It was a fantastic session – learning how the characters are created. I know I certainly learned a lot. Thanks to Meilo and Mrs Hay.
It was a really fun day.
