What a busy first week back after the October break. The children have been getting stuck back into playing inside and outside.
They have not been put off with the colder weather and have been having lots of fun splashing in the huge puddles. Some of the children were putting the suits to the test as they sat in the puddles for a fun.
The children have been busy in the porch this week, making potions and playing in the sand and rice trays. There has been lots of interest in filling up and emptying different sized containers.
There has been lots of creativity happening as well this week. The children have been practising their cutting skills and making pumpkin faces out of playdough. We made some bubbly cauldron pictures with paint and toilet roll holders. It was good fun seeing how big we could make the bubbles and popping them on our pictures.
We made a pumpkin snack out of wraps and cheese for Halloween. It was delicious!
The children spent lots of time exploring the different shaped/ coloured pumpkins. Some of the children wanted to decorate the pumpkins and give them eyes and a face. Later on they asked to carve the pumpkins up and scoop out the inside.
Here are a few other snaps of the things we have been up to this week. Hope you all have a lovely weekend.
