With the nicer weather today the children were keen to get up to the garden for an explore. There was lots of den making, treasure hunting and potion making. Some of the children even noticed a tiny hippo had gotten trapped in the water butt, so went on a mission to rescue it from the water. There was some excellent team working and problem solving as they worked out how to get it up from the bottom. 
During out together time today we listened to a new days of the week song and months of the year. The children helped write up our date, together we had a think about what day of the week it was today and the children helped write up the date and the year. We also had a think about what sounds we could hear in the words as we wrote them down and how many claps (syllables) were in the words.
