Today we took the Lino printing materials up into our trip up to the garden The children carefully chose some leaves they found around the garden and then we pressed them and rolled them to make some prints. We also looked for some other patterns in the environment. We took some prints of the tyres and the trees and the stones and the wood. It was a bit windy and wet up in the garden, so we gathered some more leaves to take back into the setting to print some more.
While we were up in the garden we checked on our bird feeders. We were excited to see that all the bird seed had been eaten, so we filled these back up with some more bird seed.

Back in the setting we printed more of our leaves and made some collages with our favourite leaves. We took time to notice the different shapes and veins running through the leaves. We now have a beautiful display of our leaf prints on our wall to remind us of our time in the garden.
