Today we made the most of a beautiful, calm crisp day. At snack we all had a vote to see where we would like to spend our time – up in the garden or playing outside the nursery. Everyone got a chance to make their tally mark and together we counted up to see which had the most votes.
Everyone had lots of fun playing in dens, finding sticks to cut up, sliding and jumping in the mud and exploring down in the trees. We all worked together to set up a swing on the tree, using a buoy. There was lots of great problem solving as the children worked out how to get themselves up and onto the buoy without sliding off.
As the sun stayed out and the children were all so engaged in their play, we decided to bring our lunch (soup and sandwiches) up to the garden for a picnic lunch. It was such a special treat and enjoyed by everyone.
