Today at snack the children started talking about animals that go to sleep over winter. This sparked lots of questions and as a group we did some investigating and found out that this is called hibernation.
Together we went on to explore what animals hibernated and looked at pictures of where some of the animals slept when they hibernated.
To finish we read a lovely story about a hedgehog who hibernated with his woodland friends.
We will explore hibernation further in the coming weeks since this is an area of interest.
