Today we have been getting Halloween ready. Drawing some spooky pictures and making some potions in the sensory trays. The children went around trick or treating with the cauldrons. We were also practicing our fine motor skills, hammering the nails into the pumpkins. SIMOA was reminding us to stay safe by wearing our safety goggles when we were using the nails and hammer. 
Last week we started to ask the children about what things they would like to see in their outside play space. We talked a bit more about this today and tried to narrow down our choices. The children then each had a chance to vote for which thing they would most like to see in the playground. After we all made our tally mark, the children helped count up the votes and see which one had the biggest number. Our winning choice was to get a new den.
